An Epic Gravel Event in the Flint Hills
The Hondo is 4 fun gravel events near Wichita, Kansas. The 2021 event will take place on September 18. We’re proud to offer the four following ride and race options for riders of all abilities:
The Hondo
The Hondo is is the big mamba jamba! 119 of the most challenging and epic terrain, with the most amazing scenery, all on roads most have never seen. And there are cash prizes for the top 3 male and female finishers!
The Hondo Intermediate
The intermediate ride will cover 77 miles of some of the same challenging and scenic roads. With stops in historic Beaumont, there will be just “enough” to satisfy without totally eating one’s lunch.
The Hondo Short
The short route will go through 29 miles of beautiful Flint Hills gravel. The Hondo Short will be perfect for those wanting an easy day or those new to the "gravel grinding" scene.
The Hondo Fun
The Hondo Fun is FREE family ride! This ride makes a beautiful 4 mile loop around the Augusta City Lake.
